Carmen Ortiz is the Program Director of Bridge to Hope Peer Recovery Support Center. She has over 7 years of experience working within peer support and over 20 years of recovery experience. As program director, her primary responsibilities are program oversight, staff supervision, recovery coach supervision, recovery coaching, external marketing, and community networking. Carmen graduated with her associate’s degree in 2017, and just completed her education requirements for CADAC certification. Her passion to help others attain and maintain recovery came after visiting Everyday Miracles PRSC, located in Worcester. With the experience she gained at Everyday Miracles PRSC, she was able to assume the assistant director position and soon after became the program director of The Recovery Connection PRSC located in Marlborough. Subsequently, Spectrum Health Systems gained funding to open a new, fifth peer recovery support center in Southbridge, MA. where she is now the program director. Carmen is dedicated to being

Clarence Williams is the Community Outreach Specialist at Bridge to Hope Peer Recovery Support Center. In this position, Clarence is responsible for educating the public about the Recovery Center, recruiting participants, and networking with community-based organizations in collaboration with peer volunteers. He enjoys helping individuals navigate their recovery journey, and utilizes his lived experiences to inspire others, offering mentorship and guidance to those navigating the complexities of recovery and life after incarceration. This role allows him to merge his experiences with his passion for advocacy, creating a holistic approach to healing and reintegration.

Brittany Wheeler is the Peer Coordinator at Bridge to Hope Peer Recovery Support Center. As peer coordinator, she is responsible for recruiting volunteers and providing orientation and training. She works closely with peers to plan, implement, and evaluate program activities. Brittany also provides assistance with housing, job search, medical services, insurance, social services, and education, to name a few. She has lived experience and has been working in the recovery and addiction field since 2011. She is also on the road to becoming a certified recovery coach.

William Powers is a dedicated Recovery Coach at Bridge to Hope Peer Recovery Support Center. With 18 years of experience in recovery-based programming, William brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to his role. He is trained in Restorative justice, Recovery Coaching, Alternatives to Violence, Nurturing Fathers, and at-risk youth engagement. As a Recovery Coach, William supports individuals on their journey to recovery by providing guidance, resources, and emotional support. A published author and the founder and board member of two nonprofits, William is committed to making a positive impact in the community.

Zak Castelli is the peer coordinator at the Bridge to Hope Peer Recovery Support Center. He has close to two years of experience working in peer support and over a decade of recovery experience. Zak is currently working on becoming a certified recovery coach. His interest in working in peer support began at No One Walks Alone Peer Recovery Support Center located in Whitinsville, Ma. Here he became a member and gained the experience needed to become a peer coordinator. Zak is passionate about supporting individuals in their recovery journey.
